Of course, Summerlee is also the home to Scotland\u2019s only heritage tramway which runs the length of the museum site for around about a quarter of a mile and with fine weather on Saturday 10th August <strong>Lanarkshire 53<\/strong> was the allocated tram.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->If you visit Summerlee during the week you are more than likely to see <strong>Dusseldorf 392<\/strong> or <strong>Glasgow 1017<\/strong> in service as the trams are crewed by paid staff but in fine weather at weekends <strong>Lanarkshire 53<\/strong> is more often pressed into service with volunteers on hand to provide a conductor to ensure everyone is safe on board the open topper.
