If you look around the edge of the Great Exhibition Hall at Crich you will find a myriad of model trams on display, with some of them occasionally being demonstrated at the once a month Model Tram days. This article takes a quick look at some of these models.<\/p>\n

The most modern tram at Crich?! In one of the display cases is this model of a Manchester Metrolink M5000 which was donated by Bombardier.<\/p><\/div>\n

A number of models are held in this display case \u2013 which is in fact the remaining section of London Street Tramways no. 39. From left to right this case includes a Swansea & Mumbles car, a single deck from Cardiff, a Cardiff double decker and a model of a Bristol open topper.<\/p><\/div>\n

Pride of place amongst the model trams is The Robert Whetstone collection and these are often operated on the operating days. This is one of that collection and it is representative of the Llandudno & Colwyn Bay Electric Railway.<\/p><\/div>\n

Another Robert Whetstone model is this one of a Darlington single-decker.<\/p><\/div>\n

In this case we see a Birmingham open topper. This is also from the Robert Whetstone collection.<\/p><\/div>\n
