Sunday 7th July sees the main tram-only event of the year at the Heaton Park Tramway with the usual mix of trams in service and static trams on display set to be offered. Tramtastic will see trams running in service between 1100 and 1730 and will also include a five tram parade in the afternoon.<\/p>\n
On the service front there will be three trams in service over the course of the day, including the return to action at Heaton Park of Manchester 765<\/strong> which will be making its debut following its return from Beamish in the next few weeks. Hull 96<\/strong> and Blackpool 623<\/strong> will also be in service with the planned split of service being as follows:<\/p>\n 1100 to 1230: 96 and 623<\/p>\n 1230 to 1400: 96, 623 and 765<\/p>\n 1500 to 1600: 623 and 765<\/p>\n 1600 to 1730: 765<\/p>\n At 1400 there will a five car procession which will form at Lakeside before setting off down to Middleton Road with photo stops.<\/p>\n In addition a number of currently unavailable trams will be on display:<\/p>\n Stockport 5 \u2013 Lakeside Road 3<\/p>\n Rawtensall 23 \u2013 Lakeside Road 2<\/p>\n Oldham 43 \u2013 Lakeside Road 1<\/p>\n Manchester 173 \u2013 Middleton Road Gates<\/p>\n Blackpool 619 \u2013 Middleton Road Depot Road<\/p>\n Blackpool 702 \u2013 Middleton Road Depot Stub<\/p>\n Blackpool 752 \u2013 Old Lakeside Stub<\/p>\n Manchester Horse Bus \u2013 Lakeside Road 2<\/p>\n It looks set to be a good event and as well as plenty of opportunities to enjoy rides on the operational fleet with enable the other trams to be seen out in the open.
