{"id":27995,"date":"2019-06-05T22:00:04","date_gmt":"2019-06-05T21:00:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=27995"},"modified":"2019-06-05T19:03:14","modified_gmt":"2019-06-05T18:03:14","slug":"in-pictures-new-look-for-net-incentro%e2%80%99s","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=27995","title":{"rendered":"In Pictures: New look for NET Incentro\u2019s"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As we reported last month all 15 of Nottingham Express Transit\u2019s original Bombardier build Incentro trams are currently undergoing a refurbishment in a \u00a33.5 million project which is said to \u201cfuture-proof\u201d the network. Whilst a lot of the work will be invisible to most travellers the most visible change will be a new livery \u2013 the third fleet livery variation these trams have seen since introduction in 2004 \u2013 much more akin to that which adorns the newer Citadis trams.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->The first of the 15 trams to enjoy the work has been <strong>203<\/strong> \u2013 retaining the name Bendigo Thompson \u2013 with this tram being unveiled by the Sheriff of Nottingham, Cllr Catharine Arnold, on Friday 10th May.<\/p>\n<p>The work includes a major mechanical overhaul \u2013 in a bid to improve the reliability of these trams which were the last trams for the UK market to be assembled in the country at Bombardier\u2019s Derby plant \u2013 and also sees the replacement of floors and interior fittings. The new livery isn\u2019t the only thing which has made the trams more like the Citadis with the interior also updated to a similar layout to assist accessibility for all passengers.<\/p>\n<p>All 15 trams will be completed over the next few months with one at a time expected to be receive the work.
