{"id":27365,"date":"2019-05-03T20:00:44","date_gmt":"2019-05-03T19:00:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=27365"},"modified":"2019-05-03T19:28:05","modified_gmt":"2019-05-03T18:28:05","slug":"in-preview-may-day-bank-holiday-tram-allocations-revealed-in-blackpool","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=27365","title":{"rendered":"In Preview: May Day Bank Holiday tram allocations revealed in Blackpool"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It may only seem like a couple of weeks since we last had a Bank Holiday weekend \u2013 possibly because it was! \u2013 but this weekend once again sees a Gold timetable running on Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours with the usual six tram service in operation \u2013 plus an added bonus of the <strong>Western Train<\/strong> on Saturday 4th May.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Whereas the Easter weekend saw record breaking high temperatures it looks as if the May Bank Holiday won\u2019t be anywhere near as lucky although it should still be mainly dry which means a good selection of trams are currently allocated to service with seven different classes of tram represented over the three days \u2013 Standard, Boat, Brush, Centenary, Ex-Towing Railcoach, Balloon and Illuminated!<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Western Train<\/strong> will be allocated to a special service on Saturday 4th May only with two afternoon round trips from Pleasure Beach to Little Bispham and back. The first of these will leave Pleasure Beach at 1420 and will be back an hour later with the second journey leaving Pleasure Beach at 1530 (again back an hour later). This is in addition to the standard Gold timetable which will be running on three days and Heritage tickets remain valid for this trip \u2013 the best value of which remains the Heritage Day Travelcard at just \u00a311 (adults) for unlimited travel on all Blackpool trams and buses.<\/p>\n<p>The other trams due to be allocated to service are as follows:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Saturday 4th May<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>A \u2013 Balloon 718<\/p>\n<p>B \u2013 Brush 631<\/p>\n<p>C \u2013 Boat 600<\/p>\n<p>D \u2013 Balloon 701<\/p>\n<p>E \u2013 Standard 147<\/p>\n<p>F \u2013 Boat 227<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Sunday 5th May<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>A \u2013 Balloon 723<\/p>\n<p>B \u2013 Centenary 648<\/p>\n<p>C \u2013 Boat 227<\/p>\n<p>D \u2013 Balloon 717<\/p>\n<p>E \u2013 Balloon 719<\/p>\n<p>F \u2013 Boat 600<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Monday 6th May<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>A \u2013 Balloon 713<\/p>\n<p>B \u2013 Brush 621<\/p>\n<p>C \u2013 Boat 600<\/p>\n<p>D \u2013 Railcoach 680<\/p>\n<p>E \u2013 Standard 147<\/p>\n<p>F \u2013 Boat 227<\/p>\n<p>All trams will run subject to availability and weather with the latest updates available on Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours social media if any changes are necessary.
