As we have reported frequently over the past few weeks, <strong>40<\/strong>\u2019s loan spell in Blackpool is coming to and end this March with the tram initially heading off to Beamish before it then returns to Crich, it\u2019s \u201chome\u201d tramway but one which it has seldom operated at.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->The Farewell Tour will see <strong>40<\/strong> cover the entire length of the tramway and will take place between 1015 and 1750. Special tickets for the tour will be available on board the tram costing \u00a320 for adults and \u00a310 for children \u2013 this will cover either the whole tour or any part of with anyone wishing to join or alight being able to do so at any heritage tram stop as per the timetable.<\/p>\n<p>Departing Hopton Road in front of Rigby Road Depot at 1015 the tram will then run as follows:<\/p>\n<p>Hopton Road \u2013 Fleetwood Ferry \u2013 Starr Gate \u2013 Little Bispham via Bispham centre track \u2013 Pleasure Beach via Bispham Centre track \u2013 Fisherman\u2019s Walk, Fleetwood via Thornton Gate centre track \u2013 North Pier (then using Tower crossover to turn) \u2013 Cleveleys \u2013 Cabin \u2013 Thornton Gate \u2013 North Pier (running to Foxhall crossover) \u2013 Fleetwood Ferry \u2013 Hopton Road<\/p>\n<p>The tour is due to be back at depot at 1750.<\/p>\n<p>With <strong>40<\/strong> having been in Blackpool since 1996 (with the exception of a short period in autumm 2014) this will be the last chance to enjoy a long tide on the tram on its spiritual home tramway for the foreseeable future and looks set to be an excellent day of varied operation and one not to miss!<\/p>\n<p><em>The Box 40 Farewell Tour takes place on Saturday 2nd March.
