{"id":24277,"date":"2018-10-16T18:39:56","date_gmt":"2018-10-16T17:39:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=24277"},"modified":"2018-10-16T18:39:56","modified_gmt":"2018-10-16T17:39:56","slug":"picture-in-time-blackpool-balloon-707-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=24277","title":{"rendered":"Picture in Time: Blackpool Balloon 707"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In this edition of Picture in Time we are back in Blackpool as we take a look at an all over advert from the 1980s as carried on <strong>Balloon Car 707<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Today <strong>Balloon 707<\/strong> is one of the four of the class to have been rebuilt with flat ends around the turn of the century \u2013 also fitted with widened centre entrances \u2013 but is currently stored at Rigby Road Depot out of service. Going back over 30 years and <strong>707<\/strong> was just another member of the popular Balloon Cars which were used on the tramway albeit carrying an all over advert for Blackpool Tower.
