{"id":24202,"date":"2018-10-09T22:00:04","date_gmt":"2018-10-09T21:00:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=24202"},"modified":"2018-10-09T20:04:12","modified_gmt":"2018-10-09T19:04:12","slug":"in-pictures-wirral-bus-and-tram-show-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=24202","title":{"rendered":"In Pictures: Wirral Bus and Tram Show 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bringing an end to a very busy six weeks of tram events the 21st Wirral Bus and Tram Show took place on Sunday 7th October with a four tram service offered alongside all the other sights of buses and other visiting vehicles. With <strong>Birkenhead 20<\/strong> still in Blackpool all four true operational electric heritage trams were used \u2013 <strong>Wallasey 78<\/strong>, <strong>Liverpool 245<\/strong>, <strong>Lisbon 730<\/strong> and <strong>Liverpool 762<\/strong> \u2013 during the day.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->In addition to the trams in service the Hong Kong built pair \u2013 <strong>69<\/strong> and <strong>70<\/strong> \u2013 were on display at on the headshunt at Taylor Street (<strong>69<\/strong>) and in the yard outside the building at Pacific Road (<strong>70<\/strong>). Horse car <strong>Liverpool 43<\/strong> was also able to viewed inside Pacific Road where it was joined by a full sized mock-up of part of a new class 777 EMU for Merseyside with the other horse car in the collection \u2013 <strong>Birkenhead 7<\/strong> \u2013 inside the museum at Taylor Street. And Taylor Street was also where progress on the major restoration of Warrington <strong>28<\/strong> (<strong>2<\/strong>) could be seen.<\/p>\n<p>Away from the trams and there were plenty of buses both on display and operating free trips around the local area with other vehicles \u2013 including tanks \u2013 also on display.<\/p>\n<p>Once again this was the best opportunity to enjoy the trams of the MTPS collection in service en masse with another popular and well attended event put on.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_24203\" style=\"width: 560px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?attachment_id=24203\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-24203\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-24203\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-24203\" title=\"1.245+78-th\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/1.245+78-th-550x366.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"366\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/1.245+78-th-550x366.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/1.245+78-th-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/1.245+78-th.jpg 1297w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-24203\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Liverpool 245 and Wallasey 78 stand at Woodside Ferry.
