This tram had been in residence at the manufacturer\u2019s Derby premises for a few weeks, hopefully in an attempt to investigate some of the technical faults that have affected its sisters already in Blackpool.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>As has become the norm for these new trams, <strong>003<\/strong> arrived minus external branding and just like <strong>006<\/strong> a few days earlier, it was moved into the depot with assistance from the new depot shunter being referred to as \u2018The Crab\u2019. The same lorry was used for both of this week\u2019s deliveries, and it is now expected to return to Germany to collect another tram. With cars <strong>001<\/strong> to <strong>006 <\/strong>all now at Starr Gate, it will be interesting to see if the rest of the class will arrive in numerical order or whether the seemingly random arrivals continue to confuse us all!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The delivery of Blackpool\u2019s new tramcars continues following the delivery of Flexity2 tram 003 to the new Starr Gate depot complex early on Saturday 4th February.
