{"id":23440,"date":"2018-08-14T21:00:22","date_gmt":"2018-08-14T20:00:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=23440"},"modified":"2018-08-14T18:35:33","modified_gmt":"2018-08-14T17:35:33","slug":"36-involved-in-collision-with-car","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=23440","title":{"rendered":"36 involved in collision with car"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There is currently only one battery fitted tram available for service on West Midlands Metro after <strong>36<\/strong> was involved in a collision with a car in Wolverhampton on Monday 13th August. <strong>36<\/strong> now joins <strong>18<\/strong> on the sidelines whilst it awaits repairs with 31 the only one of the trio available for service.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->The collision happened at around 0830 when <strong>36<\/strong> was approaching the Wishbone bridge in Wolverhampton. The tram hit the side of the car as it was passing with the more significant damage being suffered by the car. Once the emergency services had dealt with the incident <strong>36<\/strong> was driven under its own power to Wolverhampton St George\u2019s where it was left awaiting a driver to take it back to the depot where it was to be assessed ahead of repairs.<\/p>\n<p>The battery fitted fleet is set to increase shortly though as <strong>21<\/strong> has now been spotted in the depot yard with its batteries fitted albeit without the battery covers put on just yet.
