{"id":22994,"date":"2018-07-14T18:00:55","date_gmt":"2018-07-14T17:00:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=22994"},"modified":"2018-07-14T09:54:49","modified_gmt":"2018-07-14T08:54:49","slug":"picture-in-time-great-orme-tramway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=22994","title":{"rendered":"Picture in Time: Great Orme Tramway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today we take a trip to North Wales for a couple of different than usual images from the Great Orme Tramway.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Both of these photos were taken on 29th July 1996, which judging by the photos was anything but a perfect summer\u2019s day! Taken from on board two of the trams they show the view seen for the past 115 years, ever since the upper section of the tramway opened to the public (of course the lower section had opened the year previous \u2013 1902).<\/p>\n<p>This first photo shows the view shortly after having departed from Halfway on the way to Summit Station \u2013 which can be seen through the gloom in the distance.
