At the end of 2017 the Blackpool Tram Shop at North Pier \u2013 a regular haunt we would imagine for many readers of this website \u2013 closed its doors for the final time with the promise of a much bigger shop where they would be able to showcase many more of the products also sold through the Videoscene website. It may have taken longer than anticipated but it has been announced the new shop will open on Saturday 14th July \u2013 although you will need to get your walking boots on if you want to visit it without a car of your own.<\/p>\n
The new location for the shop \u2013 described as bigger and better \u2013 is the new Whitehills Business Park close to Junction 4 of the M55. The nearest tramstop appears to be at Waterloo Road which is just over 3.5 miles away from the shop. No Blackpool Transport bus route seems to run close to the shop \u2013 so there will be no using your Heritage Day ticket to get there \u2013 although Stagecoach bus route 61 (running from Blackpool to Preston) does run close by. This runs every half hour Mondays to Saturdays and every hour on a Sunday. Anyone with a car is advised to program FY4 5QF or FY4 5PL into their Sat Nav to find the shop and there is a car park on site.<\/p>\n
The shop\u2019s first day will be Saturday 14 July and there are a number of opening day offers. These include 10% off everything in store, Buy Three get One Free on DVDs and a free tram book on purchases of over \u00a350. Full details of the new shop will be posted on the Videoscene Facebook page<\/a>.<\/p>\n The shop will be open from 1000 until 1600 on that first day which has been chosen as it is the first day of the Tram Sunday weekend which will see another enhanced heritage tram service in operation.
