Monday 4th June was the day \u2013 for the first in nine years \u2013 that <strong>42<\/strong> returned to passenger service.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->It was allocated \u2013 along with Open Motor <strong>16<\/strong> \u2013 to work the 1440 service from Derby Castle on that day and has since been used on several other occasions. This included use on Ramsey Sprint Day, 5th June, when it was paired with Tunnel Car <strong>9<\/strong>. In total 12 car sets were used on this day, with all running as motor and trailer.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of returning service <strong>42<\/strong> has enjoyed not only a full repaint but new wheels along with a complete refurbishment.
