{"id":19952,"date":"2017-12-18T17:09:25","date_gmt":"2017-12-18T17:09:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=19952"},"modified":"2018-03-22T19:43:59","modified_gmt":"2018-03-22T19:43:59","slug":"british-trams-online-at-15-%e2%80%93-tram-loans-leeds-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=19952","title":{"rendered":"British Trams Online at 15 \u2013 Tram Loans: Leeds 6"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It was the loan which went on a lot longer than had been originally thought as Leeds 6 made the trip from the Heaton Park Tramway to Beamish.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><strong>Leeds 6<\/strong> only resumed this identity in 2008 having spent the rest of its life in preservation as <strong>Hull 96<\/strong> (an identity it is once again in today). Having seen extensive use as <strong>6<\/strong> at its home tramway of the Heaton Park Tramway following an overhaul it was announced that it would be heading over to Beamish in April 2010 for use at their Contractors and Corporations Event which was also seeing <strong>Cardiff 131<\/strong> on loan from Crich with resident <strong>Blackpool Marton Box 31<\/strong> painted green and resuming its works car identity of <strong>4<\/strong>. With <strong>Oporto 196<\/strong> heading in the opposite direction it was initially presumed that the two trams would swap places later in 2010 but whilst <strong>196<\/strong> went home, <strong>6<\/strong> remained in the north east.
