{"id":18973,"date":"2017-10-14T17:59:36","date_gmt":"2017-10-14T16:59:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=18973"},"modified":"2021-02-13T11:24:07","modified_gmt":"2021-02-13T11:24:07","slug":"picture-in-time-midland-metro-08","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=18973","title":{"rendered":"Picture in Time: Midland Metro 08"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In today\u2019s Picture in Time we are once again in the West Midlands for a view from Midland Metro with T69 <strong>08<\/strong> the feature vehicle.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><strong>08<\/strong> was delivered to Wednesbury Depot on 12th August 1998 (unsurprisingly the eighth of the trams to be delivered to the West Midlands from Italy). Entering service soon after the opening of the line at the end of May 1999 <strong>08<\/strong> soon settled into its regular operating life and throughout its career it retained the original Red, Purple, Yellow, Grey, Green livery. It received the name Joseph Chamberlain on 6th April 2005. <strong>08<\/strong> survived in service longer than most with its last recorded use being on 1st July 2015 (albeit briefly).
