As we continue to limp towards a start of the tram-train pilot between Sheffield and Rotherham (currently pencilled in for opening at some point in 2018) work is progressing at various locations on construction. One such location is Rotherham Central railway station where current work has been progressing on the low-level platform required for the tram-trains. A full day engineering possession at Rotherham Central on Sunday 17th September 2017 allowed some work to be undertaken on construction of the station’s outbound low level tram-train platform, as seen in this view looking north from Main Street bridge.<\/p><\/div>\n
