{"id":18487,"date":"2017-09-07T18:27:18","date_gmt":"2017-09-07T17:27:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=18487"},"modified":"2021-02-13T18:09:56","modified_gmt":"2021-02-13T18:09:56","slug":"picture-in-time-blackpool-balloons-700-706","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=18487","title":{"rendered":"Picture in Time: Blackpool Balloons 700 &#038; 706"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We have two celebrity Balloon Cars for today\u2019s Picture in Time image as we head back to 2004 for a view of <strong>700<\/strong> and <strong>706<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->As we saw last time 2004 saw celebrations on the Blackpool Tramway for the 70th anniversary of the English Electric built streamlined trams and 11th September 2004 was the day of a special cavalcade with both <strong>700<\/strong> and <strong>706<\/strong> involved. Once the cavalcade was over a number of the trams enter service on specials and this included these two trams. On the left of this shot we have <strong>700<\/strong> \u2013 in its heritage type overhaul including twin indicators and operating with a trolley pole \u2013 whilst <strong>706<\/strong> is seen on the right carrying a variation of the original fleet livery. Both trams are also fitted with old style destination blinds.
