Largely driven by the ever popular Edinburgh Festivals the increased passengers carried led to over \u00a31 million in revenue.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->2017 saw a new all night service operated on Saturdays throughout the Festival along with additional services running at peak times to keep up with the increased demand. The increase in revenue is a 14% increase from August 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Dean Anderson, Edinburgh Trams Customer Experience Manager, said: \u201cWe decided to run the night trams this year after hearing from customers who wanted an easy way to get home or back to their hotel after the late-night events that have become such a feature of the festival.
