{"id":16776,"date":"2017-03-04T17:52:30","date_gmt":"2017-03-04T17:52:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=16776"},"modified":"2017-03-04T17:52:30","modified_gmt":"2017-03-04T17:52:30","slug":"picture-in-time-manchester-metrolink-1011-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=16776","title":{"rendered":"Picture in Time: Manchester Metrolink 1011"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are heading to Manchester for the next edition of Picture in Time and this time around we are taking a look at T68 <strong>1011<\/strong> back in the first year of the network.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><strong>1011<\/strong> arrived in Manchester on 20th December 1991 having been built by Firema at the Casertane Works and was to enter service on the very first day of public service, 6th April 1992. Aside from a couple of collisions\/derailments 1011 was just a normal T68 throughout its working life until it had the dubious honour on 18th April 2012 of being the first ever second generation tram to be withdrawn from service.
