Dame Laura was an acclaimed local artist and her childhood home now overlooks a tram stop.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Dame Laura had a career spanning over 70 years and was the most famous female artist of her time in Britain. She was the first artist to be made a Dame and the first woman to be elected to the Royal Academy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>216<\/strong> was previously named Julie Poulter after the first winner of the Nurse of the Year competition but since the winner of this contest was transferred to <strong>220<\/strong> the tram has remained unnamed. But now with its new name <strong>216<\/strong> will join its 21 Citadis sisters in being named alongside the 15 Incentro trams.<\/p>\n<p>In other news from Nottingham Incentro <strong>207<\/strong> has now received the standard Silver, Dark Green and Black fleet livery following the removal of advertising vinyls.
