It’s Picture in Time with a twist today as we actually looking at some moving pictures for our very first Video in Time. This footage dates from the 1960s and shows the early years at what we now know as the Crich Tramway Village.<\/p>\n

This fascinating footage – originally taken on cine film – extensively features resident steam tram John Bull<\/strong> hauling horse car Oporto 9<\/strong> up and down the line, hopefully we may see a steam tram in action at Crich once again? Other interesting footage shows Blackpool Standard 49<\/strong> running in the red livery whilst we also see Blackpool & Fleetwood Box 40<\/strong> in operation at Crich as well as fellow Blackpool & Fleetwood car Rack 2<\/strong> (still with destination boxes in place). Leeds 602<\/strong> is also seen in action – seemingly in the middle of a repaint – and there are also some old favourites such as Glasgow 812<\/strong> and Southampton 45<\/strong> shown in service. Several other trams are also seen stabled including enthusiasts favourite Blackpool Dreadnought 59<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
