A tantalising hint of what may be coming at the East Anglia Transport Museum in 2016 has been revealed on their new website with the possibility of a visiting London tram appearing at the London Event at the start of July. No further details have been released on just which tram may be making its furthest journey east ever but even the mention that it may happen is sure to get some enthusiasts eager to find out more.<\/p>\n

The London Event will be taking at the East Anglia Transport Museum on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th July with extended opening hours on both days to allow visitors to make the most of their extensive home based London fleet. As well as London Transport HR\/2 1858<\/strong> the museum also has a number of operational London trolleybuses \u2013 including 260<\/strong> which will be celebrating its 80th birthday over the weekend \u2013 and it is \u201choped\u201d that there will also be the aforementioned visiting London tram along with a visiting trolleybus running. In addition there will be a Park and Ride, BBQ in the park and free vintage trips around town. The museum will be open between 1100 and 1800 on Saturday 9th and from 1100 to 1700 on Sunday 10th July. Obviously as soon as any more information is known on the visiting tram we will report it on British Trams Online<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Away from the potential excitement of a visiting London tram the Museum have launched a new website at a new address: http:\/\/www.eatransportmuseum.co.uk\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The East Anglia Transport Museum will reopen for 2016 on Friday 25th March for the Easter weekend and will then be open to the same pattern as in 2015. In addition to the London Event in July other highlights of the year will be the Start of Season Gala (Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th March), Mid-May 40s Weekend (Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th May), Dad\u2019s Day Out (Saturday 19th June), Trolleybus Weekend (Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th September) and Halloween (Saturday 29th October).<\/p>\n
