Following the success of the inaugural ‘Great British Night Out’ event held in 2015, Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours will be teaming up with world famous fish restaurant chain Harry Ramsden’s on several occasions this year for further joint ventures. At least nine such events will be held during 2015 offering numerous opportunities to enjoy a traditional British meal on board an equally traditional British-built tramcar.<\/p>\n

The ‘Great British Night Out’ will take place on 13th & 27th April, 11th & 25th May, 8th & 29th June, 20th July, 17th August and 21st September. These will all commence at 1830 when a heritage tram will be available to board at the North Pier heritage tram stop appropriately sited directly opposite the Blackpool Harry Ramsden’s premises. A meal of fish and chips with mushy peas and a choice of soft drink will be served aboard the tram at 1900 followed by a circular tour lasting approximately 75 minutes. All this is being offered for a very reasonable \u00a312 fare, which compares very favourably with the restaurant prices!<\/p>\n
To take part in these special tours it is essential to reserve a place in advance and this can be done either by calling Emma Tingle at Blackpool Transport on 01253 209521 between the hours of 1300 and 1600, or leaving a message to be called back. Seats can also be booked by email, contacting heritage.trams@blackpooltransport.com.<\/p>\n
