{"id":13481,"date":"2015-12-21T19:53:44","date_gmt":"2015-12-21T18:53:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=13481"},"modified":"2016-01-01T21:39:14","modified_gmt":"2016-01-01T20:39:14","slug":"34-enters-service-and-37-starts-testing-on-midland-metro","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=13481","title":{"rendered":"34 enters service and 37 starts testing on Midland Metro"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There have been some more changes to the operational Midland Metro Urbos 3 fleet recently with <strong>34<\/strong> becoming the 18th of the class to enter passenger service whilst the newest of the trams \u2013 <strong>37<\/strong> \u2013 has now started testing.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><strong>34<\/strong> had been delivered to Birmingham back on 23rd January and had been undergoing the very extensive testing and commissioning process for several months. With the required mileage successfully reached the tram was moved into the operational fleet allowing <strong>34<\/strong> to enter service during mid December.<\/p>\n<p>With the entry into service of <strong>34<\/strong> there are now just three of the 21 strong class which have not yet carried passengers: <strong>17<\/strong>, <strong>36<\/strong> and <strong>37<\/strong>. Of these <strong>37<\/strong> has become the latest to start testing with it first taking a trip onto the mainline on Friday 18th December for one round-trip to check everything was working as it should have been.
