{"id":12324,"date":"2015-08-28T21:15:19","date_gmt":"2015-08-28T20:15:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=12324"},"modified":"2015-08-28T21:15:19","modified_gmt":"2015-08-28T20:15:19","slug":"picture-in-time-blackpool-omo-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=12324","title":{"rendered":"Picture in Time: Blackpool OMO 4"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s back to 1974 for our latest edition of \u201cPicture in Time\u201d as we find ourselves in Fleetwood for a view of <strong>Blackpool OMO 4<\/strong> in operation.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->With its origins as <strong>First Series English Electric Railcoach 220<\/strong> the tram re-entered service in October 1972 having last run in 1963. The fourth of the OMO cars to enter service in Blackpool <strong>4<\/strong> was originally painted in the distinctive Plum and Custard livery style as seen in this image. Although 4 initially ran with\u00a0 a trolley it was fitted with a pantograph in the mid 1970s and became the third of the class to be withdrawn from service in March 1985.
