It was reported in the <em>Manchester Evening News <\/em>that the overhead line snapped at Old Trafford and shattered the driver\u2019s windscreen<br \/>\nwith an eyewitness giving his account. Transport for Greater Manchester neither confirmed nor denied this version of events. Whilst the problem was fixed services to Altrincham were suspended with passengers advised they could use their tickets on the 263 bus route.
