Docklands Light Railway - 6th April 2026

We head to the Docklands Light Railway in this collection for a visit on Easter Monday 2026. With it being a Bank Holiday there was ineveitably engineering works which meant there was no service from either Bank or Tower Gateway to West India Quay and Poplar. This saw a revised service run with all trains from Lewisham running through to Stratford (and using triple units) with services from Woolwich Arsenal all running to Stratford International (double units) meaning a higher frequency to Stratford International. Trains from Beckton ran as far as Poplar instead of Tower Gateway (double units).

With the B23 units still remaining unavailable as further testing takes place following their withdrawal after braking issues all services were in the hands of the B90, B92, B2K, B2007 and B2009 units - the first three classes of which are living on borrowed time with their withdrawal now overdue as they wait for the new trains to enter service en-masse.

Photos come from various locations on the open network on what was a sunny Easter Monday.
