PLEA FOR CENTRO TO THINK OF METRO ALTERNATIVES Members from the West Midlands Campaign for Better Transport are urging Centro to consider alternatives to the Midland Metro extensions they are pushing for. They want Centro to consider this as currently the funding for all the planned lines is not in place.
Kevin Chapman, the Chairman of the group, commented: “Centro really needs to come up with a workable Plan B, which could mean guided bus routes and extensions of rail services. I can certainly sympathise with businesses who do not want to be taxed to pay for it but the advantages of fewer cars on the roads mean they will be able to get their goods out sooner.”

| British Trams Online is an enthusiast run website for enthusiasts. It should be able to be viewed at all screen resolutions but I do advise you that it is probably best at 1024x768. The site is owned, maintained (and in the main written) by Gareth Prior. Any comments or suggestions please email. |
