East Anglia Transport Museum Information on membership of the society By becoming a member of the EATM you can help not only trams but also trolleybuses, buses and narrow gauge railways. Friends of the Ipswich Transport Museum Information on membership of the society The Friends help to run the museum in Ipswich. Currently they are heavily involved in Ipswich 33's restoration. Fylde Tramway Society Membership of the FTS By becoming a member of the FTS you get a monthly magazine with all the latest news on the tramway in Blackpool plus the chance to attend monthly meetings and also regular tram tours in the town. Direct links to two specific fundraising projects This one links directly to a page where you can donate money to specific projects. Firstly the Blackpool Brush 298 restoration project and also for the joint FTS/LTT Blackpool Tramcar Preservation Fund. Lancastrian Transport Trust Membership of the Lancastrian Transport Trust The LTT have interests in both trams and buses with a large collection currently stored out of public view. They are also heavily involved in a bid to create a museum for Blackpool. In addition they are involved in the Blackpool Tramcar Preservation Fund (see under Fylde Tramway Society). London's Transport Museum Membership of London's Transport Museum This page shows the different levels of support you can give to the museum. Trams are just one small part of the work the 'Friends' of the museum do. Manchester Museum of Transport Membership of the Manchester Museum Transport Mainly full of buses but also with some trams the Manchester Museum of Transport have Manchester 173 recently restored and still at their main museum. Manchester Transport Museum Society (Heaton Park) Membership of the Manchester Transport Museum Society The Manchester Transport Museum Society run the Heaton Park Vintage tramway. They are currently restoring a Manchester Horse Drawn Tram. Merseyside Tramway Preservation Society Membership of the Merseyside Tramway Preservation Society The Merseyside Tramway Preservation Society help to run the heritage tramway in Birkenhead and are also involved in tramcar preservation projects. Tramway and Light Railway Society Membership of the TLRS Although not involved in tram restoration you can become a member if interested in tram models and tramway history. A bi-monthly magazine is part of the membership which features articles on tram restoration and modelling is considered a form of preservation. Tramway Museum Society Membership of the Tramway Museum Society By becoming a member you get a quarterly magazine with the latest from the Museum, the chance to attend regular local meetings, the opportunity to help physically at the museum and free entry to the site (excluding special events) Donations This page allows you to give just off donations to the Tramway Musuem Society. They will then be used either towards preservation or generally around the museum. |
