FIRST TRAM FATALITY IN NOTTINGHAM
Nottingham Express Transit – Sunday 14th October 2007
Tragedy has struck in Nottingham city centre where a 23 year old man has been the first to die having being struck by a tram since services began in 2004. Matthew Dear from Hucknall was out on Saturday 6th October when he stepped in front of the slow moving tram at around 1855. He was rushed to hospital but later died. NET have said that CCTV footage from the tram will be studied to determine what happened.
