Manchester Metrolink – Sunday 16th November 2008

Another photo report from the City Centre trackwork on Manchester Metrolink between Piccadilly Gardens and Piccadilly Station. Plus other Metrolink news updates.

London Road showing the access into Piccadilly Station Undercroft. It looks like the double crossover is being eliminated. Where the new track crosses the roadway, a temporary tarmac ramp has been laid over the rails. This view was taken from the Piccadilly Footbridge.

Other Metrolink news concentrates on the latest window adverts added to various trams. A new Co-Operative food store has opened on Piccadilly Station Approach and to celebrate the fact a number of trams have had window adverts added. Trams to be adorned include 1006, 1008, 1009, 1019, 1023, 2003 and 2005.

Another set of window ads have been added for North Face Outdoor Shop - this time on the top opening vents of windows. Trams noted with these ads are 1002, 1004, 1013, 1024, 1026 and 2004.
