INTERIM CHAIRMAN APPOINTED AT TIE David Mackay has been appointed as the interim Chairman of tie for at least the next six months as the company attempt to fill the gap left by the resignation of Willie Gallagher at a time described as critical for the tram project. Mr Mckay is currently the chairman of Transport Edinburgh Limited and is the former head of the Scottish Rugby Executive Board.
Mr Mckay said: “We are very fortunate that Willie has established a high-calibre team who work to stringent standards and many of whom have been engaged on other tram schemes and major construction projects. I'm very much looking forward to working more closely with this first-class team to ensure that we deliver, for the capital, a state-of-the-art tram system, which will be the envy of other leading cities."

| British Trams Online is an enthusiast run website for enthusiasts. It should be able to be viewed at all screen resolutions but I do advise you that it is probably best at 1024x768. The site is owned, maintained (and in the main written) by Gareth Prior. Any comments or suggestions please email. |
