A return of our regular update on the forthcoming engineering works on the Docklands Light Railway as they gear up for three car operation. Works this month also include preparation for the Woolwich Arsenal extension.
Sunday 9th November
Canning Town to King George V
Services will be suspended between Canning Town and King George V due to works to extend DLR to Woolwich Arsenal, opening in early 2009. Replacement bus service will operate Canning Town to King George V.
Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th November
All routes except Mudchute to Lewisham
Services will be suspended from Bank to Mudchute, Bank to King George V/Beckton and Stratford to Mudchute for engineering works to enable three carriage trains to operate from early 2010. Replacement bus services will operate on the affected routes.
Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd November
Stratford to Mudchute. Also Canning Town to King George V (Sunday only)
Services will be suspended between Stratford and Mudchute all weekend due to Investment Programme works to extend platforms. Services will also be suspended between Canning Town and King George V on Sunday only. Replacement bus services will operate on the affected routes.
Sunday 30th November
Canning Town to King George V
Services will be suspended between Canning Town and King George V due to works to extend DLR to Woolwich Arsenal, opening in early 2009. Replacement bus service will operate Canning Town to King George V.
In addition to these works Tower Gateway remains closed for improvement works to enable three carriage operation (this is now due for completion in February 2009 – 2 months ahead of schedule).
