BLACKPOOL WINTER TIMETABLE STARTS 3RD NOVEMBER
Blackpool & Fleetwood Tramway – Sunday 2nd November 2008

The 2008/9 winter timetable for the Blackpool & Fleetwood Tramway has been revealed at tramstops (but at the time of writing not on the Blackpool Transport website) and is due to commence on Monday 3rd November with the Illuminations being switched on Sunday 2nd November. The timetable is as expected with a late start as per this summer and normal finish. Trams will run every 20 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes in the evening.

First trams from Manchester Square to Fleetwood at 0753 and 0813
First tram Starr Gate to Fleetwood at 0819
Every 20 minutes to 1859
Every 30 minutes to 2259
3 extra Starr Gate to Foxhall journeys to finish.

First trams Foxhall Square to Starr Gate at 0757, 0817, 0837, 0857, 0917
First trams from Fleetwood to Starr Gate at 0848
Every 20 minutes until 2008
Every 30 minutes to 0008 (1828, 1928, 2338, 0008 to Manchester Square only)

7 trams are required for the daytime service and 5 in the evenings with a consistant running time throughout the entire timetable. Trams for the service are expected to be drawn mainly from the Centenary Cars with Jubilees if necessary.

In addition trackwork is expected to take place on the Orion Curve, Cleveleys during the winter requiring single line working between Little Bispham and Cleveleys. The trams are scheduled to pass around Little Bispham.
