Metrolink performance remains steady

Passenger numbers may still be down on the Manchester Metrolink network but with a fairly regular service still in operation statistics of how the trams are running are still released with the latest four week period – 10th January to 6th February 2021 – showing a pretty steady picture with a slight increase in punctuality and reliability down a small amount.

The performance statistics are split into 13 four week periods during the year – starting in April each year – and are intended to give an indication of how well services are running to the general public. The figures show the overall picture and there are times when severe disruption may skew the figures somewhat in a period. Some of the lines often have more that can go wrong, with those lines with significant sections of on-street running seeing lower percentages for the obvious reason that so many other factors can cause problems for the trams.
