Trams &: Sheffield 264 & Fire Engine

“Trams &” is today heading to northeast England and Beamish where we see the resplendent Sheffield 264 at the entrance along with a fire engine.

The date of this photo is 9th April 2016 and shows Sheffield 264 at the Entrance during the Great North Steam Fair. This was the debut of 264 after an extensive overhaul which had taken two years to complete with the tram before then having spent the best of 14 years out of service awaiting this attention.

As 264 pauses at the Entrance it is passed by a fire engine which was visiting for the event. This is a 1915 built Dennis N type which was allocated to Aberdeen City Fire Brigade and is now preserved at the Brigade headquarters in the city.
