We’ve mentioned it in passing before but we can now bring you images of the special 25th Anniversary celebration tram currently running on Manchester Metrolink. Appropriately numbered 3092 – with 1992 being the year services first began – has seen its spots repositioned to spell out “25” at each end whilst small vinyls on the windows state #Metrolink25 and Celebrating 25 Years of Metrolink. Kevin James provides us with these images.
3092 waits at MediaCityUK on 12th May whilst operating on the Piccadilly to MediaCityUK service.

Would have looked a lot better if they had painted one of the new trams in the original 1992 livery.
Pity 1007 wasn’t allowed out for the day from its warm storage at Old Trafford. That would have been something to behold.
