DLR IMPROVEMENT WORKS UPDATE
Docklands Light Railway – Friday 2nd May 2008

Read on for our regular update on the forthcoming “Improvement Works” on the Docklands Light Railway network. Most of these works are concerned with infrastructure improvements to enable the three car trains to operate and also the extensions to the network.

Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th May
Bank/Tower Gateway to West India Quay/Beckton/King George V
Services are suspended over the whole weekend of 3rd and 4th May due to track works relating to problem extensions and essential maintenance work.
Replacement bus services will operate from Bank/Tower Gateway-Beckton and Bank/Tower Gateway-King George V at a 10 minute frequency. The bus service will not serve West India Quay, Poplar or East India Quay.
Train services will still operate Stratford to Lewisham.

Monday 5th May
Bank/Tower Gateway to Lewisham/Poplar and Stratford to Canary Wharf until 1530
Services are suspended due to track works as part of three carriage upgrade works and testing of new track near West India Quay.
Replacement bus services will operate from Bank/Tower Gateway-Island Gardens, Stratford-Island Gardens and Lewisham-North Greenwich. The bus service will not serve Heron Quays or West India Quay.
Train services will still operate Poplar to Beckton and Blackwall to King George V.

Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th May
Stratford to Canary Wharf
Services are suspended over the whole weekend of 17th and 18th May.
Replacement bus services will operate.

Saturday 24th to Monday 26th May
Bank/Tower Gateway to Poplar/Canary Wharf
Services are suspended over the whole weekend of 24th to 26th May.
Replacement bus services will operate.
Train services will operate over all other routes.

Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd June
Canary Wharf to Mudchute
Services are suspended over the whole weekend of 21st and 22nd June.
Replacement bus services will operate.
Train services will operate over all other routes.

Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th June
Canary Wharf to Lewisham
Services are suspended over the whole weekend of 28th and 29th June.
Replacement bus services will operate.
Train services will operate over all other routes.

Saturday 28th June 2008 to 1st April 2009
Temporary closure of Tower Gateway station
The station will be closed for platform extension work to allow three car trains to operate.

Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th July
Canary Wharf to Lewisham
Services are suspended over the whole weekend of 12th and 13th July.
Replacement bus services will operate.

Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th July
Canary Wharf to Lewisham
Services are suspended over the whole weekend of 26th and 27th July.
Replacement bus services will operate.
