METRO 07 IS NAMED AS 10 IS ON THE WAY BACK
Midland Metro – Sunday 18th May 2008

As reported last week Midland Metro tram 07 was named Billy Wright at the Wednesbury depot on Tuesday 13th May. The ceremony was attended by family members and former footballing colleagues and the first trip of the newly named tram was to Wolverhampton St Georges.

At the ceremony Fred Roberts, General Manager of Midland Metro, revealed that 10 had been outshopped in the Magenta and Silver Network West Midlands livery at Crewe. You may remember that 10 was involved in an accident with 09 in December 2006 and is in reality half of 09 and half of 10 as the current 09 used the two better halves of the damaged units. It is expected that 10 will now have returned to Midland Metro but requires work to be undertaken before a return to service.

British Trams Online is an enthusiast run website for enthusiasts. It should be able to be viewed at all screen resolutions but I do advise you that it is probably best at 1024x768. The site is owned, maintained (and in the main written) by Gareth Prior. Any comments or suggestions please email.
