DLR NEW UNIT UPDATE
Docklands Light Railway – Sunday 7th March 2010

As reported elsewhere on British Trams Online three car trains have now started to operate on the Bank to Lewisham line of the Docklands Light Railway. This has been helped by the introduction of further B09 stock into service.

Our contributor has noted the following units in service as follows:
* 14th January 2010 - 135, 136 and 139
* 8th February 2010 - 134, 138 and 141
* 25th February 2010 - 140, 142 and 143

Elsewhere on the DLR network, the new junction arrangements at Tower Gateway where the line to Bank goes underground have come into use. Terminating trains no longer have to cross a departing service.

Work on the extension to Stratford International continues at a pace with some of the stations now looking almost complete along with much of the trackwork. This line is due to open this summer with train testing likely to commence in May.

On the Beckton line stations are undergoing lengthening for three car trains with work currently taking place at Royal Victoria, Custom House, Prince Regent and Beckton. Work has not yet started at the other two stations on the line – Gallion’s Reach and Royal Albert.

British Trams Online is an enthusiast run website for enthusiasts. It should be able to be viewed at all screen resolutions but I do advise you that it is probably best at 1024x768. The site is owned, maintained (and in the main written) by Gareth Prior. Any comments or suggestions please email.
