RAILCOACH 279 RESTORATION UPDATE
Lancastrian Transport Trust – Sunday 7th March 2010

Another major milestone has been reached in the restoration of Blackpool Railcoach 279 with the assembly of English Electric Railcoach end profile – an appearance not seen on this tram since 1960 and from the Blackpool Tramway in 1973. Steel is being used for crashworthiness.

Other recent progress in the restoration has seen the Z6 controller and handbrake column put back onto the No. 2 end cab floor which itself was recently fitted, formed of plywood.

British Trams Online is an enthusiast run website for enthusiasts. It should be able to be viewed at all screen resolutions but I do advise you that it is probably best at 1024x768. The site is owned, maintained (and in the main written) by Gareth Prior. Any comments or suggestions please email.
