MANCHESTER METROLINK NEWS ROUND-UP
Manchester Metrolink – Sunday 23rd March 2008

A number of window adverts have been applied for the Reed Recruitment Agency. They have a blue background which almost exactly matches the turquoise blue of Metrolink and have been noted on 1002, 1003, 1008, 1010, 1016, 1017, 1019, 1022, 1023 and 2003.

At the mediacity:uk public consultation exhibition held last week at The Lowry a 6 page leaflet was issued including a comments reply form – this is also available online here.

A large version of the artists impression in the leaflet was on display along with a wallchart indicating the timetable. Piccadilly to Eccles would continue to run every 12 minutes but there would be an additional mediacity:uk to Cornbrook shuttle running every 6 minutes between 0600 to 1800. Off-peak the Eccles service will service mediacity:uk – then reversing to continue its journey.

It is proposed to have a spur between Harbour City and Broadway stops.

The mediacity:uk spur will divert from the main Eccles line around this point, where there is already a point fitted.

British Trams Online is an enthusiast run website for enthusiasts. It should be able to be viewed at all screen resolutions but I do advise you that it is probably best at 1024x768. The site is owned, maintained (and in the main written) by Gareth Prior. Any comments or suggestions please email.
