A new regular feature on the British Trams Online News Page is a look at the improvement work on the Docklands Light Railway. As the DLR gears up for three car train operation there will be a lot of engineering works – mainly over the weekends – taking place and on the first Sunday of each month we will give you a rundown of the next batch of works.
Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th March
Stratford to West India Quay: Services will be suspended over the whole weekend. A replacement bus service will operate over the affected route.
Saturday 22nd to Monday 24th March
Bank/Tower Gateway to Canary Wharf/Canning Town and Stratford to Canary Wharf: Services will be suspended over the whole weekend and Easter Monday. A replacement bus service will operate over the affected route.
Sunday 30th March
Canning Town to King George V: Services will be suspended for engineering works relating to the Woolwich extension. A replacement bus service will operate over the affected route.
Saturday 19th * Sunday 20th April
All routes with the exception of Mudchute to Lewisham: Services will be suspended over the whole weekend for engineering works to enable three carriage trains to operate. A replacement bus service will operate over the affected route.
