07 MAKES METRO DEBUT AS RUTH KELLY PAYS A VISIT
Midland Metro – Sunday 2nd March 2008

It what seems to be 07’s debut in public after its refurb and relivery and after many years out of service in use as a Christmas Tree at the depot, Ruth Kelly paid a visit to Midland Metro as a briefing in respect of the proposed extensions to the current Birmingham to Wolverhampton line

Midland Metro car 07 at Wolverhampton St George's on probably its first public run since being rebuilt and re-liveried in the Network West Midlands magenta and silver livery. Car 07 has spent years off the road after being badly damaged in a collision. The tram was conveying Transport Secretary Ruth Kelly while she was being briefed on Midland Metro by Centro-WMPTA officials. A decision on funding two extensions and a fleet of new trams is awaited.

British Trams Online is an enthusiast run website for enthusiasts. It should be able to be viewed at all screen resolutions but I do advise you that it is probably best at 1024x768. The site is owned, maintained (and in the main written) by Gareth Prior. Any comments or suggestions please email.
