CONSULTATION LAUNCHED FOR BID TO GET MORE TRAMS ON SUPERTRAM Stagecoach Supertram and Travel South Yorkshire are currently working together on a bid for government money to procure four additional trams for the current Supertram network. To aid this bid they have launched a consultation period with members of the public to see if they support the bid.
During the morning and evening peaks it is said that there is overcrowding on the trams and the worry is that if this continues, people may be discouraged from travelling on Supertram.
It is planned that the bid for money will be submitted to the Department for Transport this summer.
If you would like to have a say on the matter here and fill in the online consultation form.

| British Trams Online is an enthusiast run website for enthusiasts. It should be able to be viewed at all screen resolutions but I do advise you that it is probably best at 1024x768. The site is owned, maintained (and in the main written) by Gareth Prior. Any comments or suggestions please email. |
