IT NEVER RAINS BUT IT POURS!
Beamish Museum – Sunday 21st June 2009

Very heavy rain hit Beamish Museum at 1530 on Monday 15th June causing some localised flooding on the site. The trams were still able to run but if you click the link below you will be taken to a photo of Gateshead 10 cautiously returning to Depot after the last brave visitors were taken back to the car park.


Gateshead 10 returns to Depot at the end of the day with the heavy rain evident. Note the bow wave in front of the tram and the almost completed submerged track! (Further photos from the heavy rain at Beamish are on the Museum’s Transport Collection Blog here.
