The latest performance figures of Manchester Metrolink are now available on the GMITA website and were presented to the committee for approval on 22nd May 2009. The report covers periods 11 and 12 from Monday 2nd February and Sunday 29th March 2009. Read on for a summary of the report.

Performance as measured by Operated Mileage was 99.15% in Period 11 and 99.03% in Period 12. The Moving Annual Average of 98.81% has remained above 98% for the 22nd consecutive Period. The majority of miles lost in periods 11 and 12 were due to vehicle availability accounting for 77% in period 11 and 61% in period 12. Vandalism also increased in period 12 resulting in an increase in signal failures.

Vehicle Availability
During period 11 the total vehicle availability against the morning peak target (29 vehicles) was 98% and in period 12 was 97.8%. The average vehicle availability in the weekday morning peak for both periods was 27 out of 29. The main impacts upon vehicle availability were vehicle failures and vandalism.

Trams out of service during the period
Three vehicles were out of service during these periods:
