MORE DLR SERVICE CHANGES
Docklands Light Railway – Sunday 29th June 2008

With the engineering works taking place across the DLR network to enable three car trains to operate there are to be more service changes from Monday 30th June with Tower Gateway station closing for works from Saturday 28th June.

The changes to services are as follows:
* Services between Lewisham and Crossharbour will reduce to every 10 minutes – services will operate Lewisham-Island Gardens and Island Gardens-Bank with a cross platform interchange at Island Gardens until 25th August 2008. During weekday peak periods four supplementary buses will be in use.
* Tower Gateway station is closed from 28th June until Spring 2009
* Services to and from Stratford will alternate between Canary Wharf and Poplar at a 5 minute frequency during weekday peak periods.
* Bank-King George V services will operate every 10 minutes throughout the day
* Trains from Beckton will terminate at Canning Town where passengers can change to Bank services.

Services are going to be affected on all routes with passengers being advised to board the first train and change as necessary. The DLR say “please bear with us while we build you a better railway.”

British Trams Online is an enthusiast run website for enthusiasts. It should be able to be viewed at all screen resolutions but I do advise you that it is probably best at 1024x768. The site is owned, maintained (and in the main written) by Gareth Prior. Any comments or suggestions please email.
