BLACKPOOL & FLEETWOOD TRAMWAY NEWS ROUND-UP An update on the latest news from the Blackpool and Fleetwood Tramway including the latest on the trackwork in Cleveleys and some odds and ends on Brush 636, Balloons 720 and 722 and Jubilee 762.
The trackwork on the Orion Curve in Cleveleys has commenced with the northbound line lifted from Lauderdale Avenue to the Orion Curve and the trackbed dug out just north of Lauderdale Avenue.
Jubilee 762 is to receive a new all over advertisement for ReBlackpool.
Balloon 720 now has frame modifications on one side for the new platform extensions. Power operated plug doors are likely to be fitted.
Sister Balloon 722 has also spent some time in the Workshops recently, although not for a positive reason. It spent a time in the Fitting Shop for the removal of its motors and has also lost some other parts.
Brush 636 has had its tower and pantograph refitted with a resistance bank within the tower. Plough type lifeguards have been fitted at the end with the experimental truck.

| British Trams Online is an enthusiast run website for enthusiasts. It should be able to be viewed at all screen resolutions but I do advise you that it is probably best at 1024x768. The site is owned, maintained (and in the main written) by Gareth Prior. Any comments or suggestions please email. |
