NET PHASE TWO PUBLIC INQUIRY ENDS The Public Inquiry into Nottingham Express Transit Phase Two has now ended with the Inspector – Robert Barker – concluding his tour of the proposed route, following the conclusion of the hearing pre-Christmas.
Mr Barker will now go away, before presenting his findings in the form of a report to the Secretary of State for Transport – currently Ruth Kelly – in July. This will include his recommendation over whether to improve the extension or not. It is then hoped Ms Kelly will make her final decision at the end of 2008.
If everything goes according to plan construction could start in 2010 with trams starting to run in 2013.

| British Trams Online is an enthusiast run website for enthusiasts. It should be able to be viewed at all screen resolutions but I do advise you that it is probably best at 1024x768. The site is owned, maintained (and in the main written) by Gareth Prior. Any comments or suggestions please email. |
